About Me

Once I graduate from the University of Florida, I will have attained a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and minors in Organizational Leadership for Nonprofits, Business and French.
Everything is a business, so it is important to have the skills to manage one. Even if I don't ever own a business, I believe that my life is a business and I should know how to operate that well. I became interested in nonprofits because I was part of a philanthropic business club named SHAPE; Students Helping Achieve Philanthropic Excellence and we focused on raising funds for nonprofits. During my involvement with the club I was able to intern at a nonprofit, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and my direct supervisor explained to me how she majored in public relations and what her duties were and that initiated a spark making me aware about the field of public relations.
Moreover, I learned French as my official language as a young child, but because I continued and finished school in the United States I did not have the chance to continue using French. But, I have always had the affinity for French so on my own terms I practiced. I also spent time learning Spanish, and now I hope to continue learning so I have a better understanding of the grammar structures so I can eventually become a certified interpreter in both French and Spanish. I hope to use the skills to work in Latin America as well as the francophone regions. I am interested in local community and education development.
With my degree I would like to start working in the United States and eventually bridge my talents to work in the international market. Whether it is with a business or nonprofit, also known as nongovernmental agency, I want to work in public relations and community efforts. I am very much excited for the opportunity to gain skills so I can work in a field and environment I enjoy. I have a lot of dreams and with my time management skills I hope to accomplish them.
